Hussar!  -  It actually didn't rain - much.  Ground manager Fletch was in a generous mood when he set the 3^rd Bedfordshire ESP qualifier.  With all but 4 of the 13 stands regularly shot straight it was a matter of keeping focused for most of the shoot.  There were of course a few of nasty stands thrown in to sort things out.  The 120 foot tower caused problems for a lot of shooters with the average straight count down from 20 or so for most stands to just 5, the last stand, a couple of midi targets in a report pair on top of yielding just 5 straights actually claimed more more blanks than straights.  Jason Brockett came out high gun on the shoot and was top county shooter with his gingerness close behind.  Freddy the Kidd was next on 88 as was Andy 'Gringo' Buck putting in probably the personal performance of the day to pick up B class.  In ladies Linda Moore (buoyed by the confidence found in opening a large can of whup-ass on hubby Glen at Barrowheath last week) led the way home with Lorna Leonard and Gill Whinnett close behind.  Vets saw Malcolm Jenkins and John Sparrow open their qualifying accounts with good scores.  Trevor Sharp and Ian Porter also put in low single figure points to consolidate their team positions.  Thanks to all those that took part.  Full results, as always, are on the Sporting Targets website here.
