Typical bank holiday, weather was the norm at Northampton for the Bedfordshire Skeet Championship.
We had quite a good turnout, especially with the juniors, but only two ladies and one Vet and eight seniors.

Early Beds shooter Andy Buck posted a 96 and this score held until the afternoon when the weather changed to sunny periods and the Whinnett family took to the layouts.

Peter Green scored 89 but was not happy winning the Vets as he was the only shooter.

The Whinnett family were on a charge with Steve shooting a superb 97, Gill on 83 and Jim, using a 28 bore, shot 94.

Juniors were led by Ben Pay on 93 with Joe Heast hitting 90 and a young Matt Galvin on 68 (his first competitive 100).
With more practice we should have some excellent juniors.
