We held the Beds Skeet championships at Northampton shooting ground on Sunday 21st August. The turnout was reasonable, and the weather was kind being warm, overcast with a slight gusting breeze, which made the occasional target unpredictable.

The eventual winner and County Chamption, retaining the title he won last year was Bert Mason scoring 98. The runner up was Steve Whinnett scoring 95, and third was Kevin Parsons with a score of 94.  The ladies Champion title went to Jackie Tobitt with a score of 84, Runner up was Gill Whinnett scoring 81 and third was Karen Park with 77. The Veterans High gun was Geoff Bickers with 94, the runner up was Ian Porter scoring 91, and third was Trevor Sharp with a score of 87. Unfortunately no junior shooters took part this year.
