Attached are the scores from shoot 2 The main action this month was at the 2nd Sporting qualifier. The thirteen stand course was well set with most stands giving shooters the chance of a “straight” with a couple of notable exceptions. The stand in 122 (stand 11) saw people average less than 4 ex 8 as a long midi caught them out. Also causing difficulty in many cases was Basin1 (stand 7) , both stands only saw 3 straights all day. Most surprisingly the penultimate stand, a fast dropping driven that got on to the shooter much faster than it looked followed by a fast quartering away 60 foot tower bird only saw 2 straights. It was a day of “keep it in the family” for notable results. Andy Nixon came out on top in both the seniors and A class with a 90 closely followed by Glen Moore and Steve Leonard on 89. Andy’s son Jack put in a personal best with a borrowed gun to hit an excellent 70 only 2 behind Joe Heast – let me tell you Jack “old” Joe was seriously worried you were going to beat him. Do we now have three juniors competing for top spot this year? Lorna Leonard (76) and Linda Moore (74) kept up the family connections in the ladies. In vets, Malcolm Jenkins was 6 in front of Jim Munday to secure his team place for the year. Seniors has seen Steve Leonard, Glenn Moore and Andy Nixon assure their places with single figure qualification scores already “in the bag” Any news that you want included on the web site or in PULL reports please forward them to me via the
