The East Midlands Inter-Counties Skeet Championship was held at Nottingham SG on 6th September.  Skeet manager Trevor Sharp reports:

 The weather was over-cast with a brick cold wind which made the targets vary in speed, height and flight.  The seniors put togther a score of 546 made up of:  Burt Mason 98,  Kevin Parsons 94,  Steve Whinnett 93,  Paul Hopkins 91, John Hartog 86 and Ian Porter 84

Our ladies Gill Whinnett and Jakie Tobbitt both scored 78 and our thanks go you for taking the time to support the county.

Trevor Sharp (93) and Pete Green (87) made up the Vets team.

Trevor particularly wanted to give the ground's staff a mention as traffic holdups meant that some of the team was delayed and the ground worked hard to accomodate the squads that were affected so that every one still had a good time without getting too stressed about it all.

In terms of final positions

Seniors: 6th - Sufflolk won on 586

Vets: 5th - Won by Notts on 191 but we were only 1 clay behind the 3rd and 4th placed teams and they all had at least one score to drop where we didn't.

Ladies: 5th Again with only 2 team members.  Won by Cambridgeshire
